NEW : Join the IonSat project !

Ionsat is a 6U nanosatellite equipped with an electric propulsion engine, dedicated to demonstrating the feasibility of nanosatellite missions in very low orbit (300km).

More information on IonSat can be found on this page.

Descriptions

In the context of IonSat and the CSEP, we have several internships offers for Spring 2023. The opportunity to work in a mission that will be launched in an orbit can be truly significant for short and long term career prospects, the challenges of participating in a project with several constraints can shape your career and offer a new horizon of possibilities. Furthermore, the intern will have the chance to interact with a motivated team of students from Polytechnique and apply his distinctive engineering solutions to the various engineering challenges faced in this project. The intern will work with two full time engineers of the CSEP, and can use the help of the space team of the Laboratory of Plasmas Physics, specialized in conception of space-ready magnetometers and onboard electronics. There are also frequent contacts with experts from the French aerospace agencies (CNES, ONERA) and compagnies (Thalès) partners of the IonSat Project.

The internships offered are the following:

  1. Development of IonSat flight software, description here .

  2. Development of IonSat Interfaces and Electrical Architecture, description here .

  3. Ground Station and Command Control Center Design, description here .

  4. Detailed thermal analysis for the IonSat nanosatellite, description here .
